iguera la Real is a typical white town of the south of Extremadura, influenced by neighbouring Andalusia and Portugal.

It is located in the foothills of Sierra Morena, in their more western part, in the so called Sierra de Aracena. It is an attractive ecosystem on the border of Natural Park of the Sierra de Aracena and Picos de Aroche with the Portuguese Bajo Alentejo, and the district of the Sierras del Sur de Extremadura.

It is a beautiful natural landscape that will delight lovers of the enviroment. We are in an area where the natural wealth lives alongside with a rich cultural, artistic, anthropological and gastronomic patrimony. Plants and trees -The "Dehesa", oaks, cork oaks, olive trees...- and animals -Iberian pigs, extensive cattle, flocks of sheep and goats and of course, cynegetic species as wild boards, deer, partridges, rabbits …- make up one the better conserved ecosystems in Europe.
