he rural apartments "The Mill of Jeromo" are located in the authentically restored stays of an old mill of olive oil (dated back to the beginning of XIX century). They are close to the centre of Higuera la Real, on Sabio street, Nº 38.
They are distributed into three buildings, with a main front and an amazing "patio extremeño". Around these, there are other stays such as the caretaker's old housing, the old warehouses and stables. The total rural area for visitors has about 500 m2.
The building represents all the architectural characteristics of that specific period of time and of the area, such as: whitewashed masonry walls, wrought iron grills in windows and balconies, covered with tiles of mud curve, cornices with decorations, paved patio, etc.
"The Mill of Jeromo" has a total of four apartments; three are located on a ground floor and each have a double room; whereas the one on the second floor has two double rooms. All of them have views to the beautiful and wide "patio extremeño", through which you will have access to. The furniture and the decoration of all them has been selected with excellent taste and with great respect to the customs of the area. At the same time, the rooms of this peaceful place show a very welcoming and warm atmosphere.
The first apartment, called "La Sabiera", has a double bedroom with a complete bathroom and views to the wonderful outside patio, a living room-dining room with a kitchen and a big fireplace.
The second and the third ones are called "La Glorieta" and "La Pitera" and have the same comforts. However, they are slightly smaller.
The apartment on the second floor is called "Gargallón". It is a nice attic with wooden ceilings which consists of two double bedrooms sharing a complete bathroom and a living room-dining room with a kitchen.
There is a common room to the four apartments called "El Altozano" which may be used as a relaxation area for guests. This living room is specially beautiful: two arches made of old brick and mud dominate the room and look to the central patio. It also has a lovely chimney and an exquisite decoration. It is here that the television is located.
An example of the rural features of the building is the preservation of the original wooden roofs within the whole construction. All the apartments have complete bathrooms, heating in all their rooms including chimneys in their living rooms.
Visitors have parking.

- Tasting products of the Iberian Pig (Iberian Ham of pigs fed with acorn...) and the excellent cooking in the area.
- Cultural Visits (Sierra de Aracena, Jerez de los Caballeros, Fregenal de la Sierra, Harvest, Ruins of Capote, Barramcos in Portugal, visits to Dehesas and agricultural exploitations, visit to an old mill of olive oil, to industries of the Iberian Pig, ceramics and artisan tiles factories...)
- Picking of "Trigueros" asparaguses and wild mushrooms.

- Handmade Slaughter of Iberian pigs (at the request of the clients)
